We were visited in school this week by Eden Francis from Team GB - thank you to everyone who brought in sponsor money, we raised over £1,000. On Monday we will have an exciting time when author Daniel Henshaw will take our whole school assembly and then work with both years 4 and 5. Sports Day for Foundation is on Thursday 14th June and for KS1 and KS2 Wednesday 20th June 2018. Good Luck to our Girls Football Team who have two matches next week.

Homework normally goes out on a Friday and is due in the following Friday. Homework on most occasions will consist of maths, spelling, grammar and punctuation. At times, it may include something that is science and or topic based.

Children are encouraged to read through their homework tasks and both the class and parents are welcome to come and see Mr Durkin with any problems or for any help.

We ask the children to read, as a minimum, at least 3 times a week and encourage parents to become involved in this. Reading at home is monitored every week. Should any parents or carers experience any issues in supporting their children reading at home, please come and discuss this with Mr. Durkin, where he will be more than happy to support you and try to establish a way forward to enable reading to take place.
