This morning we were joined by representatives from the NSPCC, as they came to speak with our pupils during their assembly about how to ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’.
NSPCC volunteers Diane and Chris (alongside the campaign mascot Buddy the speech bubble) introduced the ‘Speak out, Stay safe’ session - this is aimed at equipping children with the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or Childline.
Well done to our children today for being very well behaved and engaging with our visitors on this important topic, and thank you to the NSPCC for joining us at the academy.
