Year 1

Welcome to Year 1!

Our teacher's are Mrs Ward and Mrs Webster.

Our teaching assistant is Mrs Dwyer.

We also have Miss Smith carrying out her teacher training in our class this year.

Our topic this term is 'Memory Box'.

Throughout this half term the children will be taking a trip down memory lane.  They will be thinking about how they have changed and also comparing things from their own lives with those from the past.

Please read at home as often as you can with your child - it really does make a difference.  Your child will bring home one levelled reading book plus a free choice book from the library.  Please place these along with your child's reading diary in the black tray in the classroom when you would like your child's books changing.

Remember to have lots of fun using Mathletics at home as well as at school.  There are certificates and gift vouchers to be won - who will be the first in our class to be a winner??? You will find your child's login details in the back of their reading diary.
