We were visited in school this week by Eden Francis from Team GB - thank you to everyone who brought in sponsor money, we raised over £1,000. On Monday we will have an exciting time when author Daniel Henshaw will take our whole school assembly and then work with both years 4 and 5. Sports Day for Foundation is on Thursday 14th June and for KS1 and KS2 Wednesday 20th June 2018. Good Luck to our Girls Football Team who have two matches next week.

Miss Mitchell and Miss Kerslake welcome you to class 2M!

This term our topic is woodland animals. 

In literacy we are reading the text- 'Owl who is afraid of the dark'. We will be focusing on this story for around 3 weeks. 

 

In numeracy this half term, we are focusing on multiplication and division. We will also be completing our weekly Big Maths Challenges and Mathletics. 

 

In science we are covering- Animals Including Humans. This focuses on life cycles, offspring, human development and basic needs for life. As well as healthy eating later on in the term. 

 

In history we are studying dinosaurs and fossils with a particular focus on the famous paleontologist, Mary Anning. 

 

We will also be having weekly P.E sessions, music sessions, SEAL lessons and computing days. 

P.E will now be on a Friday afternoon lead by Mr Dennis.
