Year 3N

Welcome to Year 3!

Welcome to 3N!

Our teacher is Miss Newbold.
Our teaching assistant is
Miss Gee.

This term our topic is Ancient Greece. All of our history, geography, art and PE lessons will be based around this topic.

In RE we will be looking at Hinduism and their celebrations.

Our PE lessons are on a Wednesday. Please remember to bring your labelled PE kits.

Music sessions will take place on a Tuesday morning.

Our class book for this term is Who Let The Gods Out? by Maz Evans. We will be using this book to help us with our own story writing in Literacy.

We are starting our Maths for the year with place value and addition and subtraction. Our Mathletics session is on a Thursday morning. Remember that you can access Mathletics at home too! Try and get 1000 points in a week to earn a certificate. Your Mathletics password will be in the back of your reading diary. There is a link for the Mathletics website in the Important Information section below.

It is the expectation that Year 3 children read at home at least 3 times a week. Your child’s reading targets can be found in the back of their reading diary. Reading diaries should be brought to school every day.

Each child will be given a Homework Grid. From this grid, you can choose which tasks to complete and when. All tasks should be handed in by the 15th December to be counted.
