Our governors play a crucial role in assisting the development of the academy and support with setting the vision and strategic direction of the academy, holding the principal to account for its educational performance and ensuring financial resources are well spent. The role provides important support and challenge to staff as we continually look to develop and improve for the benefit of all students. If you would like more information or to apply to be considered, please email our Clerk to the Governors at by 22 January 2019. We look forward to hearing from you.

Year 5

Hello. Welcome to the class page for Year 5

Our class teacher is Mrs Kahler.

Mrs Hirst is our full time Higher Level Teaching Assistant

If you need to know anything about our class please ask either of us as we are more than happy to help!

Could you make us a poppy for an outdoor display? One of our homework options in Year 5 is to make a poppy but now we have decided to open this up to EVERYONE to make a whole school display to go outside in time to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War!

We would be grateful for poppies of any kind - they could be knitted, crocheted, sewn from felt etc or could you recycle plastic bottles by cutting the bottoms off them and painting them red and black?

All we ask is that you bring your poppies to school by 7th November at the very latest and that you agree to donate them to us as they will displayed outside and we cannot make arrangements to return them to you. Thank you!

Looking forward to seeing a wonderful display!

We need our PE kit in school all week so that we can complete our Daily Mile in our trainers and also do PE lessons whenever possible. These are timetabled for Thursdays with Mr Dennis but we may do PE at other times too so it is best to bring labelled PE kit in a bag and leave it on your peg Monday - to Friday.
